Cynical Thoughts Of Sins

Cynical Thoughts Of Sins

by CS · Jun 23, 2017

In today’s world, nobody afraid of sins, at least that’s what I thought. I have seen a lot of priests use religion often to justify their own sins. When people go to church, you pay for the priests’ service by putting your money into what they called as tithing. Do you know where your money goes to?

A lot of priests’ satisfying themselves by having a luxury houses, cars, even planes. That’s where all your money goes in! Then they talk about sins in their church. What a bloody hell they know about it?

Don’t do the seven deadly sins! they said. I don’t believe there’s a not deadly sin. People categorizing sins doesn’t understand what sin is. Sin is the same as a crime. The same characteristic is they won’t go unpunished, while the different is to whom you take the action to.

  • Lust, have a very strong sexual desire for someone. The problem arise regarding to “someone”. If you have legal right over “someone”, then is it a sin? Anyway, in any situation if you don’ work on it, you will stay virgin for the rest of your life, so it’s up to you.
  • Gluttony, habitual greed or excess in eating. That’s pretty much every fat guys. I have seen fat priests too much these days. See, they even do their own sins while preaching!
  • Greed, intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food. Which would you choose between dictatorship and anarchy? Let me illustrate you simple thing: If your family sick, but you can’t leave your job because of the deadlines then you would fall under this category.
  • Laziness, the quality of being unwilling to work or use energy; idleness. It’s a quality and not even a sin for just being relax and doesn’t want to go to work. It only leads to consequences, if you don’t go to work, you don’t eat.
  • Wrath, extreme anger. Do you kill people in this state? I doubt it. People can get too much anger with no reason.
  • Envy, a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else’s possessions, qualities, or luck. Why not? Why I can’t envy to someone who are wealthier than me, better than me? I don’t even do anything to them. Resentful doesn’t lead to hurt someone else.
  • Pride, a feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. It’s just getting too much at this point. I don’t even care to defend my point. What’s wrong with their definition? I don’t see the harm having deep pleasure?

When my friend remind me to go to church, I usually said that there’s not much I can do there. I used to learn hermeneutics, bible’s methodology of interpretation.

One day, I went to a church to hear about a preaching, but when I heard that he say something out of context, I resign myself from the congregation. Those priests really need to learn more about the bible before they preach.

In my opinion, moralism is the only thing I need to survive in this world. As long as I don’t do harmful things, I’m a free man and satisfied with life.

Life should not be contained in dogma or paradigm or concept that useless and makes people unhappy living their life.
